Story

Lord Guan, given name Guan Yu, courtesy name Yunchang, was a famous general of the Shu Kingdom during the Three Kingdoms period. Famous for unparalleled loyalty to his lord Liu Bei. The well-known legend "Traveling a thousand li alone to rejoin his brother" demonstrates his devotion. Successive dynasties honored him with royal titles, elevating him to the Martial Saint, on par with Confucius the Literary Saint. He was later deified as Emperor Guan. Families and shops worship him widely, admiring his integrity and praying for home protection and financial prosperity.
